India’s Prime Minister recently addressed the 3rd Summit for Democracy.
About the Summit for Democracy:
- The Summit for Democracy was a platform initiated by the U.S. in 2021, that aims to strengthen democratic institutions, protect human rights, and acceleratethe fight against corruption globally.
- This summit brings together various stakeholders to discuss experiences and suggest methods to combat threats faced by democracies today through collective action.
- The summit focuses on three principal themes– defending against authoritarianism, addressing and fighting corruption, and advancing respect for human rights.
