Spain, the 99th member of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), recently joined the treaty-based inter-governmental organization.
About ISA:
- ISA is an action-oriented, member-driven, collaborative platform to increase the deployment of solar energy technologies.
- It was jointly launched by India and France in 2015 on the sidelines of COP-21 of UNFCCC in Paris and was officially established in 2017 when the ISA Framework Agreement (IFA) entered into force.
- ISA is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana.
