India recently celebrated World Telecommunication and Information Society Day by highlighting its efforts in ‘Telecom Diplomacy.’
Steps taken by India for Telecom Diplomacy:
- As part of these efforts, India has established partnerships with various countries and Telecom chip companies, including initiatives like the “US-India OpenRAN (Radio Access Network) Acceleration Roadmap.”
- These partnerships also facilitated an exchange of best practices with the US, enhancing dialogue on international best practices in areas such as spectrum allocation, quality of service assurance, and future tech research.
- Further, efforts are being made to transform the India Mobile Congress (IMC) into a globally recognized event like the Mobile World Congress by 2025, aiming to attract international participation and investments.
