NASA recently welcomed Sweden as the 38th country to sign the Artemis Accords, a set of non-binding principles established in 2020 by the US State Department and NASA to guide civil space exploration and use.

- These accords are a series of non-binding principles established to guide civil space exploration and use in the 21st century.
- They focus on peaceful, sustainable, and transparent international cooperation in space.
- Initiated in 2020 by NASA and the U.S. Department of State, the founding members included nations such as Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, UAE, and the UK.
- The principles are rooted in the Outer Space Treaty of 1967, and now boast 43 signatories, including India.
