Indian vessels have arrived in Male for Ex Dosti 16 or the 16th edition of the India-Maldives-Sri Lanka trilateral exercise “Dosti,” with Bangladesh participating as an observer.
About Ex Dosti:
- It is a biennial exercise and trilateral coast guard exercise between India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
- It was first conducted in 1991 between the Indian and Maldives Coast Guards.
- In 2012, Sri Lanka joined the exercise for the first time.
- It was last conducted in 2021.
