• The Garbhini-GA2 is an India-specific AI model designed to accurately estimate the gestational age (GA) of fetuses in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy.
• This model is notable for being the first late-trimester GA estimation model validated with data from the Indian population, specifically the GARBH-Ini dataset.
• It relies on 3 routinely measured fetal ultrasound parameters and significantly reduces the median error in GA estimation by more than three times compared to the Hadlock method.
• The significance of Garbhini-GA2 lies in its potential to improve prenatal care, provide accurate epidemiological estimates, and reduce maternal and infant mortality rates in India.
