Indian Army to induct first Hermes-900 drone for enhanced surveillance along the Pakistan border.

About Hermes-900 Starliner:
- It is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial system.
- Developed by Adani Defence and Aerospace for the Indian Armed Force.
- Designed for roles in intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and communications relay, and can also handle area dominance and maritime patrol missions.
- Features over-the-horizon, persistent multi-mission, multi-payload capabilities.
- Operates at altitudes above 30,000 feet.
- Capable of remaining airborne for up to 36 hours.
- Wingspan is approximately 15 meters.

- Advanced payloads and technologies including satellite communication and collision avoidance systems.
- Operates in both civil and military airspace.
- Payload capacity is a class-leading 350 kg.
- Capable of persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR).

- Enhanced version of the previous Hermes-450, with increased payload capacity and extended endurance for greater operational flexibility and effectiveness.
