- DeepTech in India: India boasts the third-largest pool of DeepTech startups globally but ranks sixth among the top nine DeepTech ecosystems.
- Startup Landscape: There are currently over 3,600 DeepTech startups in India.
- Funding Insights: Over the last five years (2019-2023), these startups have raised a cumulative $10 billion. However, funding in 2023 saw a 77% decline compared to 2022.
About DeepTech Startups:
- DeepTech startups utilize advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, Blockchain, AR/VR to develop innovative solutions for complex issues, often integrating multiple technologies to either redefine or create new market opportunities.
- These startups are characterized by extended development timelines and high capital intensity.
