About NTA:
- The NTA is an autonomous and self-sustained testing organization under the Ministry of Education (MoE), responsible for conducting entrance examinations for higher educational institutions in fields like engineering, medicine, management, and pharmacy.
- It operates as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
- The agency is governed by a body that includes a chairperson, a secretary, and eight or more officials.
