The Prime Minister recently laid the foundation stone for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel Park (PM MITRA Park) in Amravati, Maharashtra. This initiative aims to enhance the textile industry in India and support skill development and entrepreneurship.

About the PM MITRA Park:

    • Boost the Textile Industry: Development of integrated large-scale industrial infrastructure for the entire textile value chain.
    • Employment Generation: Each park is expected to create approximately 1 lakh direct jobs and 2 lakh indirect jobs.
  • Other States Involved: Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.
