The third edition of Project ‘Veer Gatha’ has successfully culminated.
About Project ‘Veer Gatha’ 3.0:
- It is a joint initiative by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Education.
- Part of the Republic Day celebrations, marking the 75th year of Independence under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
- It is aimed at disseminating acts of bravery and inspiring civic consciousness and patriotism among students.
Participation Details:
- Approximately 1.37 crore students from 2.43 lakh schools participated.
- Students from Class 3rd to 12th involved, with 100 winners selected at the national level.
- The initiative saw participation grow exponentially compared to the first two editions, with eight lakh and 19 lakh students respectively.
Outcomes and Awards:
- A committee appointed by the Ministry of Education selected 100 best entries from across the nation.
- Winners will be felicitated in New Delhi, each receiving a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a special invitation to the Republic Day Parade 2024 at Kartavya Path.
- Additional eight State/UT level winners and four District level winners will also be recognized and felicitated.
