  • It is a non-profit apex organization in India tasked with establishing and operating the national third-party accreditation system.
  • Founded in 1997 and set up as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), QCI is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.
  • Headquarters: Located in New Delhi.
  • Nodal Ministry: Overseen by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion.
