About Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS):
- Launched on January 1, 2023, as a key initiative under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), managed by the National Health Authority (NHA).
- Targets building a strong digital health ecosystem to improve care quality by increasing the use of digital health practices.
- Open to participants including hospitals, diagnostic labs, digital solution providers, and other healthcare providers.
- Offers financial incentives for linking health records to Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) numbers, with potential earnings up to Rs. 4 crores.
- Qualifying activities for incentives: teleconsultations, lab reports, and prescriptions, all connected to ABHA.
- Registration for facilities and digital solution providers is available through the Health Facility Registry (HFR) and ABDM Sandbox.
- Goals of the scheme: improve patient care, decrease administrative tasks, ensure high-quality evidence-based care, and enhance digital health transactions.
