India and Saudi Arabia signed a bilateral agreement under which India has been allocated a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims for the annual Haj pilgrimage in 2024.

Location of Saudi Arabia:

• Saudi Arabia is located on the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia.
• It is bordered by:
  • Jordan and Iraq to the north
  • Kuwait to the northeast
  • Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates to the east
  • Oman to the southeast
  • Yemen to the south.
• The Red Sea is to the west of Saudi Arabia, and the Persian Gulf is to the northeast.
• The Gulf of Aqaba in the northwest separates Saudi Arabia from Egypt and Israel.
• The capital city of Saudi Arabia is Riyadh.
