About Group of Friends (GOF):
- The GOF was initiated by India in 2022, under the leadership of the UN Security Council. Its primary purpose is to enhance accountability for offences againstUN peacekeepers.
- India collaborates with Bangladesh, Egypt, France, Morocco, and Nepal as a co-chair in the GOF, which comprises 40 member countries.
- This collaboration is crucial for advancing justice for peacekeepers and ensuring they are protected from crimes.
