The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has confirmed the discovery of ancient rock carvings in Mauxi (Mhaus) village, Goa.

- The discovery of ancient rock carvings along the dry riverbed of the Zarme river in Mauxi (Mhaus) village, Goa, dates back to the Neolithic period.
- The carvings were etched into meta basalt rock and depict animals such as zebus, bulls, and antelopes, alongside footprints and cupules (hemispherical cup-shaped depressions).
